Sim to Pro - Rajah Caruth
10.8.2024
Rajah Caruth became just the third black driver to WIN a NASCAR Series Race, taking a Truck series victory in Las Vegas at the age of 21. Inspired by Disney's Cars, Rajah's passion for motorsports began at the age of 4, attending his first NASCAR race at 12. His family fundraised for him to get his first racing simulator at the age of 16 where he began racing in the eNASCAR Ignite Series. He caught he attention of NASCAR and received his first chance to race a legends car at Charlotte Motor Speedway a year later. Rajah went on to race Late Models, ARCA where he would claim two 3rd place championships, and then received an opportunity to join the Xfinity series as part of Alpha Prime Racing.
Rajah went from his first simulator at age 16 to his first NASCAR win at 21. Congratulations, Rajah!
"As a child watching NASCAR, there were very few drivers who looked like me. Being a young black man is really evident about the importance of representation because you look at other forms of sports and entertainment where we have a lot of presence in it. That's not the case in racing.

iRacing is a really successful tool I think in bridging the diversity gap. It removes a barrier of entry, I think. Whether that be inner city kids or people in vastly different places that have no access to racing."

For me, iRacing is the only way I was able to chase my dream and then it helped elevate me to a level where I could grab hold and start making some headway on it.
