We’re thrilled to introduce the element of rain into one of our racing series for the first time. To keep things unpredictable—just like in real-life racing—we’ll be using iRacing’s forecasted weather system, which takes the time of year and circuit location into account. This means rain could appear at any time, or we might go the whole season without a drop. When it does rain, drivers will need to adapt quickly, adjusting their strategy to handle the ever-changing conditions on the track.
Car Selection
Drivers have 8 different cars to choose from, and iRacing may add even more options before the first round, such as the Mustang or Corvette GT3s. If these new cars are introduced, drivers will have the option to switch cars before the start of round 1.
Track Lineup and Special Events
We’ve pulled some of the best tracks from the IMSA and GT Sprint series, with iconic races at Watkins Glen and Spa, leading up to special 6-hour and 24-hour events. The final two rounds of the season will be determined by iRacing’s season 4 schedule, and may feature exciting new circuits rumored to be added soon.
Race Format
Most races will consist of a single 60 or 75-minute event with fuel limits requiring at least one pit stop. At select rounds, drivers will face two races: a standard 25-minute sprint followed by a 30-minute reverse grid challenge.
Winners
The stakes are high! The Pro and Am class champions will win a 1-year subscription to Suellio Almeida's Motor Racing Academy, valued at $300. Team champions in each car class will also receive $100.
